Canberra: The Canberra chapter of the Voluntary Tibet Advocacy Group (V-TAG) hosted a vibrant cultural event on 8 September 2025 as part of the Australian National University’s prestigious Immersia Festival 2025. The programme introduced academics and students to the richness of Tibetan history, culture, and values.
Led by coordinator Tenzin Dalha, the V-TAG team highlighted Tibet’s centuries-old traditions, peace-loving philosophy, and enduring spirit. Participants were given a glimpse into Tibet’s unique cultural identity, including its deep-rooted values of compassion, non-violence, and harmony.
The event featured interactive sessions where attendees learned to write in Tibetan script and explored Tibet’s history, language, and cultural expressions. Many expressed appreciation for the rare opportunity to engage directly with Tibetan heritage in an academic setting.
Speaking after the event, coordinator Tenzin Dalha said, “We are grateful to ANU Immersia for giving us a platform to share our story. This was not just about culture but it was about Tibet’s enduring voice for peace, resilience, and identity.”
The Canberra V-TAG chapter reaffirmed its commitment to advocating for Tibet through cultural diplomacy and awareness-building, especially among influential academic and policy-making circles in Australia.
